Real Life Weddings at Lainston House

How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?

We met in London and knew each other for two years in a work capacity before we got together in New York where Libby was working. Fast forward 1 year and Jon proposed at the top of the Shard in London.

What did you love most about Lainston House?

We live locally and had always heard about Lainston due to its great reputation – when we visited the venue with our wedding in mind we loved the thought of our guests using the extensive beautiful grounds and we fell in love with the barn. On our wedding day Lainston house literally shone! It was beautiful. We had exclusive use and I really did feel like it was ours – we had the best house party!

I also would like to call out the staff who were fantastic – Merke and the team (also the catering manager) made all of us feel so welcome and kept all our guests so comfortable (including glasses topped up).

Did you have a theme or a particular style for your day?

Our floral installation was the theme and style for the day – we transformed the barn into a magical floral wonderland

It was a bespoke Suzanne Neville.

What do you remember most about the day itself?

A feeling of happiness.

What tips or advice would you give to future couples?

Get our wedding planner Jenna Hewitt – she was incredible.
