Real Life Weddings at Fanhams Hall

How did you both meet and how did the proposal occur?

We met at a nightclub in Watford in November 2015. Rebecca was out with a friend and Jason was out with a group of friends for his birthday. We both clocked eyes on the dance floor and exchanged numbers straight away. Jason proposed to Rebecca in 2018 whilst on holiday in Rhodes.

What did you love most about Fanhams Hall?

We both loved the hotel and the grounds. From the moment we went for our first meeting we knew this was the perfect venue for our wedding.

Did you have a theme or a particular style for your day?

No particular theme in mind, we kept it very simple, classic and romantic. It took me a long time to decide on colours for the bridesmaids dresses.

Tell us all about THE dress…..

I bought my dress from Brides of Berkhampstead in January 2019 for our original October 2020 wedding date. Three years on and I'm still in love with it. It's a Stella York off the shoulder dress with an open back, scalloped lace and a cathedral train. It was an absolute dream to wear.

What do you remember most about the day itself?

Everything! The weather, the food, the music. The day went so smoothly, it was absolutely perfect.

Were there any special moments or surprises?

When we were out taking our couples photos we spotted a robin in a tree. We like to think it was a sign that our baby boy Thomas (born still) was watching over us on our special day.

What tips or advice would you give to future couples?

Organisation is key. Having a checklist with a time frame really helped make the wedding planning less stressful and as a result the day went so smoothly.
